Master Technician/MOT Tester

Calex Automotive Recruitment are seeking a Master Technician/MOT Tester to join their client’s team at Perrys Vauxhall in Swinton.

Location: Rowms Ln, Swinton, Mexborough S64 8AA

If you’re a Master Technician/MOT Tester with three years of main dealership experience, we’d love to speak to you!

You’ll be joining a fantastic, established team and be supported by a motivating and encouraging Service Manager.

Hours

• Monday to Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
• Only 1 in 3 SATURDAY!

Salary

• Basic salary range £27,664 – £37,190 per year
• Plus substantial bonus opportunities of £150 to £450 per month

The role

• Diagnose complex symptoms across the whole range of vehicle systems, as well as routine service & repairs
• Ensure quality and a first time fix to delight our customers every time
• Complete video vehicle health checks to highlight any issues & sell-up opportunities
• Communicate with workshop supervision regarding work progress
• Develop your skills & knowledge via regular training including EV
• Assist and coach your colleagues with technical assistance
• Complete MOT’s (if have a MOT Licence)
• Maintain a clean & safe work bay

The ideal skills, qualifications and experience we’re looking for:

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent
• At least 5 years experience, preferably with a main dealership
• Diagnostic or Master Technician experience
• Ideally Hybrid / EV trained but if not training will be provided
• Possess a positive, can-do attitude
• Have the passion and ability to deliver an outstanding customer experience
• Be enthusiastic, respectful and friendly to guests and colleagues
• Have an honest and diligent approach to work
• MOT Licence desirable
• A full and valid UK Driving Licence is essential
