Vacancy:

  • Vehicle Technician or Vehicle Mechanic (various levels of experience may apply)

Salary:

  • BASIC SALARY ranges from £30,000 to £36,000 (depending on your level)
  • Plus bonus scheme from £3,000 per year (paid monthly)
  • Plus £1,000, first year loyalty bonus

Hours:

  • Monday – Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm
  • Every other Saturday 8.30am – 12.30pm (paid as overtime)
  • 20 days paid holidays + bank holidays

Car Dealership:

  • Telfords Citroen & DS
  • Grearshill Road, Carlisle, CA3 0ET

The role:

Depending on your skill level and experience the role will involve:

  • Carry out services, repairs and maintenance on customer vehicles, including minor and major mechanical work
  • Complete electrical and engine repair work
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment to accurately identify and address issues
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of repairs
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe workspace
  • Communicate successfully with customers where needed to explain repair findings and recommendations.

The ideal skills, qualifications and experience we’re looking for:

  • Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent
  • Car servicing and repair experience in either a main dealership, independent garage or other car servicing company
  • Be enthusiastic, respectful and friendly to guests and colleagues
  • A full and valid UK Driving Licence is essential
