Vehicle Technician

Fussell Wadman is seeking to recruit a Vehicle Technician to join its team in Devizes.

The Role

Vehicle Technicians are responsible for all aspects of mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair. Typical responsibilities include:

• Servicing vehicles – carrying out checks and maintenance according to manufacturer guidelines

• Repairing and replacing faulty parts and components

• Communicating job progress to the Aftersales team, including notifying them immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the time projected

• Complete relevant documentation (job sheets/cards, PDI’s, service reports) in line with warranty and dealer requirements.

• Ensure that workshop housekeeping and health and safety standards are maintained at all times

• Undertake additional workshop and dealer support as required

Skills & Experience

• Level 3 Light Vehicle Service & Maintenance Qualification (Desirable);

• Candidates with a Level 2 qualification, and relevant experience will be considered and should still apply;

• 3 years’ experience in all aspects of vehicle servicing, maintenance, and diagnostics (Essential);

• Main dealer workshop experience (Desirable);

• Ability to understand and carry out basic diagnosis in both mechanical and electrical work (Desirable);

• Experienced in dealing directly with customers, with good verbal, and written communication skills (Desirable);

• Good attention to detail, and organisation skills (Essential);

• Strong work ethic, and desire to deliver an outstanding brand aligned customer experience (Essential);

• Desire to continually develop professional skills and competencies through participation in manufacturer training programmes, as well as self-learning opportunities (Essential);

• Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence (Essential).

Salary and Benefits:

• Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 per annum

Hours

• 40 Hours per week, overtime if required

• Saturdays on Rota
